Thomas J. Leonard’s Integrity > Needs > Wants Model

Something interesting I came across was Thomas J. Leonard’s Integrity > Needs > Wants Model. Here’s how it works…If you can’t figure out, or achieve, what you want, it’s probably because your needs aren’t being met. And if you can’t seem to get your needs met, it’s probably because your integrity is out/off/weak. And, going in the other direction…When your integrity is strong, needs are easily met. And when needs are met, one has very, very few wants.

Two viewpoints on integrity from my mentor coaches are:

Having integrity means you are true to yourself and would do nothing that demeans or dishonors you. – Merci Miglino, MCC

Integrity also is an indicator of individual’s alignment with universal truths such as “all is one” and universal laws of harmony. Because our system is designed to be in alignment with those, when we step out and be unkind to ourselves or any other living being, we fall out of integrity. – Tijen Genco, MS, MCC, NBC-HWC, MBB, E-RYT200

Which one resonates with you?
