Have You Experienced the Power of Your Intention Today?

I have experienced the power of intention in many different ways and in my clients. It’s a common activity we do to help cement new attitudes and ways of doing things.

Time and time again I myself have set my intention strongly and seen the world mold itself to what my intent was.

Big things. Small things. Life things. Healing things. All sorts of things.

Most recently I was stressed and wanted my schedule to clear so that I could have time to process. Little did I know what would happen with that kind of intent! Miraculously, my client schedule dropped to a trickle in the week following. Whoops! Overdid that one just a little! I reset my intention and then the clients came back into my schedule, and also in what seemed to be a more manageable rate.

In my energy based trainings, we study our relationship to the universe and the power of us asking for things.

Currently I am reading Ask and It is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks, one of the many books on manifesting out there.

You might think that manifesting is one of those hokey woo things created my New Age hippies.

It may have been popularized by New Age hippies, but I can tell you that it works.

It’s more about how the explanation resonates with you or not.

So if your brain can’t get around that kind of explanation, here’s another one from the Neuro Linguistic Programming Institute of California.

It talks about the Reticular Activating System, a part of your brain which takes instructions from the conscious mind and sends it to your subconscious, and also then reappears at some future time, and its relation to intentions setting.

Perhaps it’s a more scientific explanation more palatable to you?

In either case, you set the mood, intention, desire. You let it flow through every fiber of your being – your thoughts and emotions.

Then sit back and let it happen.

Still too woo?

Give it a try and see what happens!

I will drop a tip though. Desiring a ton of money to drop on your lap usually doesn’t work. Why? Because asking for material things alone doesn’t work. You need to put a little bit more why into it, more feeling. What’s that money going to buy you? How is it really going to make you feel? Is money the real solution or is it only one of many possible paths?

If I think money will buy me happiness, what if I achieve happiness without it?

Set your intentions today. Really look deep and hard inside you. What do you want to get out of your intentions? How do you want to experience your life with these intentions? Then see if these intentions will create the life you truly desire.
